4-H Trip
Despite the windy day we had a great time at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center. We met up with a bloke named Andrew Fisher(aka Blokeman, his trail name)originally from England. Andrew hiked the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail and The Lost Trail among others. He showed us everything that he carried his pack on the 2,200 mile journey on the AT. He also shared with us his survival pack that has everything you would need to survive for several days.
After that we went for a hike on our 1st stretch of the AT. On our way back for lunch the kids rolled down a big hill and found a discovered a playground. We had a blast!
