Wednesday Nature School

Today we visited Elizabeth Furnace! It was a beautiful day with a ton of bugs! We talked about bats and played a game to demonstrate how the decline in Little Brown Bat populations affected by white nose syndrome causes increases in insect populations. We ended our visit with a hike along the interpretive trail where we read about the history of pig iron production at Elizabeth Furnace.
